Weddings are a fascination among many people. The more lavish the wedding, the higher the fascination. This holds truer in the Middle East, where both royalties and the wealthy Arabs throw weddings with all the flourish anyone can muster.

One wedding in Kuwait has everyone’s jaw dropping because of this reason. The couple was Shaikh Fahad bin Nasser bin Sabah Al Ahmad, the grandson of the Emir of Kuwait, and Fay bint Loay bin Jassim Al Kharafi, the daughter of a famous businessman and the granddaughter of a former speak of the National Assembly of Kuwait. Photos of their “mythical” wedding ceremony is going viral online.
Aside from the lavish décor, the netizens were amazed at the wedding favors received by the upper-class guests and elite Arab stars—diamond rings.
This was not the first extravagant wedding to go viral this week. Just last week, the son of the sultan of Brunei wed his bride in the monarch’s 1,788-room palace in Bandar Seri Begawan.
Aside from their gold outfits, the bride wore a diamond tiara with six teardrop-shaped emeralds, as well as a large diamond necklace with 15 emeralds. The bride’s wedding bouquet was also made with gems instead of flowers.
