For people who want to have ‘bigger breasts’, you don’t have to undergo painful surgeries and procedures. All you need is coconut milk, says a Chinese drink advertisement that’s been criticized nowadays.
A famous Chinese coconut milk manufacturer in China is receiving backlash over its claims that its beverage can make women’s breasts bigger.
In the advertisement. Several large-chested women can be seen alongside a slogan that states, “drink one can every day, [your] curves will excite people, whiter and more plump,” “drinking more coconut milk every day can make [your] breasts fuller” and “genuine Coconut Palm coconut juice, I drank from small to big”.
“When I first saw the advert, I thought some netizen had just Photoshopped it. It’s only now that I realized it was actually true and not someone joking around,” says one comment on Weibo, China’s popular social media site with similar features as Twitter.
If there are others who claim to be living proof of the effects of this product in enhancing breast size, there are also others who expressed their dismay over the ‘gimmicky’ marketing.
“The old brand had been around for so many years, and still needs to do this!” says one netizen.
A professor at the university in Hong Kong, Ava Kwong, debunks the claims of this brand, stating that there are no supported studies claiming the effectiveness of coconut milk in enhancing breasts.
According to a representative of the Coconut Palm factory in China, they are already investigating the matter and removed some of these adverts.
